Meandering Meadows

Location: Golden Quarter Farm near Berlin, MD
Cost: $20 per person

Stroll along some 150 acres of former farmstead regenerating to meadows, scrub-shrub habitat, wetlands, and woodland. Good opportunities to hear and see hawks, eagles, field sparrows, cedar waxwings, wood ducks, prairie warblers, yellow-breasted chats, and northern bobwhite, among others. Be prepared for wet, but not flooded, walking trails.

Directions:
From Downtown Ocean City: Take Rt. 50 West to Rt. 611 South to MD 376 West. It is the first left past the Ayres Creek Bridge. There is a sign (Golden Quarter Farm). After taking the left, go straight at the fork and park in front of the big house.

From North Ocean City: Take Rt. 90 West to Rt. 113 South to MD 376 East, which is a left to the Golden Quarter Farm. Turn right into the lane. There is a sign (Golden Quarter Farm just before crossing Ayres Creek Bridge). After taking the right, go straight at the fork and park in front of the big house.

From Salisbury: Take Rt. 50 East to Rt. 113 South to MD 376 East (left). Turn right in to the lane. There is a sign (Golden Quarter Farm just before crossing Ayres Creek Bridge). After taking the right, go straight at the fork and park in front of the big house.

From Pocomoke and Points South: Take Rt. 113 North to Rt. 376 (Right). Turn right in to the lane. There is a sign (Golden Quarter Farm just before crossing Ayres Creek Bridge). After taking the right, go straight at the fork and park in front of the big house.
