February 25, 2012 - Pysanky: Magic Eggs
Runs Through: February 26, 2012
Time: Saturday, 2 - 5 pm; Sunday, 2 - 5 pm
Location: Coverdale Farm Preserve 543 Way Road - Greenville, Delaware
Pysanky is the millennia old Ukrainian tradition of decorating eggs. These beautiful "wax resist and dyed" eggs were believed to herald the spring season offering fertility and new growth of animals and crops. Create your own pysanky using Coverdale Farm eggs with shells in natural shades of brown, cream, white, and green. Bring a dozen, room temperature eggs; all other materials are included (including farm eggs). Old clothing is recommended. Leader: Jennifer Domal, Regional Artist
